Hi everyone!

I registered on this forum with the sole purpose of sharing with you the coolest feature that the Tarraco has - Launch Control!

What is launch control?
Launch control is an electronic aid to assist drivers of both racing and street cars to accelerate from a standing start (more on that can be found on Wiki . Basically it just gives you a very quick start from a complete stop (e.g. a traffic light). Usually only proper sports car have them, but Hurray to SEAT for putting this in

How to activate it?
1. Come to a complete stop.
2. Put the DSG gearbox into S (sport) mode (pull the gear lever back once when it's in D position)
3. Turn off Traction control system (ASR) (go into Vehicle settings --> ESC system --> ASR off
4. With your left foot press the brake pedal all the way down
5. With your right food press the accelerator pedal all the way down (there should come a sign in digital dashboard that Launch Control is Activated
6. Lift your left foot and release the brake pedal. You should be off to a flying start now

I've only tested it on the 2.0 Diesel Tarraco with DSG (110kW). Probably doesn't work with manual gearboxes

You can find more info on the Tarraco users manual as well - Page 257

Have fun and stay safe!

Very interesting T.J
Do the car spin at all or do it put the car in 4 wheels drive.
You don't need to put the cal in 4 wheels drive. If any of the wheels would lose any traction, the other 3 would try to compensate for that. Tried it on dry and wet asphalt - couldn't feel any spinning. Same on gravel roads as well. But let's wait for winter and then we'll have more fun

wow gave this a go in my 1.5 TSI. I get all the Launch control active and it builds the revs up to about 2K (I would have expected to to go up to peak power) release the middle pedal and off we go..... slowly. It does better launches by just mashing the throttle to the floor in sport with the DSG in manual mode. Will do some more testing when the roads are quiet.

I did not know this but last night I was a bit cheesed off with a Merc tailed gating me.

At the next lights I put the car in sport and floored the pedal and felt pressing the button under the accelerator.

Wheels spun (although I have active control on) and enjoyed leaving the Merc behind

Long story but does the burton under the accelerator help the cause?

I didnt think the DSG 7 gear boxes had launch control.

Well yesterday I was proven wrong!

This works on the 2.0 TDI 190PS 4 Drive. It was quick off the line anyway in sport mode but this is much faster. I did some obdeleven stuff to the 4 wheel drive unit to increase traction ages ago and since I have not been able to spin the wheels unless on gravel etc. With launch control it flies off the line with no drama, no wheel spin and no flashing light from the traction control, its a steady on orange light
