Re: Front Assist
Do you get a continuous icon illuminated on the dash that shows it’s active (like the one for lane assist)?

Re: Front Assist
That comes on when I disable it with that icon (with off at the bottom of it). Seems to do exactly what it says it should in the manual but just doesn’t appear to intervene. I thought I would’ve least triggered a proximity warning. Will get the dealer to look at it. This is a display at the bottom o...

Re: Front Assist
Do you mean on the infotainment or centre of the virtual cockpit or either?. I’ll check. I do know the egg timer icon that shows it still calibrating on starting up does go off as it should, I believe, after a couple mins. Have you got two yellow lines and a car icon in between them in the front ass...

Re: Climate control changes
I’m pretty sure you’re stuck with having to make a choice then. I had no intention of getting an FR Sport. I was going to get an xlux. It was the combination of availability, reasonable price (I think), less chrome and the lovely alloys that influenced me as well as wanting leather/area view. If I a...

Front Assist
Had my car a week now and love it but convinced the Front Assist isn’t working. I’ve gone pretty close to other vehicles a couple times and had no intervention from the car, be it a visual/oral warning or actual breaking. It’s definitely enabled and I’ve played with the sensitivity which makes no di...

1.5 Tsi DSG FR Sport
Had it a week now. Lovely car and a bit of an upgrade from a 15 yr old Octavia.

Re: Climate control changes
Are you in the uk? Uk spec FR Sport has leather seats (same as those in the xlux with tray tables) and area view. The FR has Alcantara bucket seats (without tray tables) but no area view. I’m afraid I don’t think you can downgrade the seats in the FR Sport or upgrade to area view in the FR. Other di...

Re: Climate control changes
Mine is MY21 and yes has usb-c ports and the updated heating controls. Regarding the latter you can adjust the temp by swiping your finger along the bottom of the heating control panel, doesn’t rely on the infotainment screen like a 5008. Works fine in my opinion. No wireless charging sadly.

Re: New Taracco
I’m pretty sure that all Tarracos (for the uk at least) are constructed in Wolfsburg, alongside the Tiguan. Mine was. They had an FR Sport in the showroom when I bought mine. That I’m sure didn’t have coast to coast or new infotainment so I think there are some changes following the summer switchove...

Re: New Taracco
Mine just rocked up at the dealer. Confirmed that it does have coast to coast lights and next gen infotainment.
