Do anyone no if Apples play works with a charging Matt.
I was thinking of sourcing a small one to fit in where the 1st edition has it fitted.

As far as I'm aware apple car play won't work with a charge mat. It needs the data cable to work.

I did think that.
But still might get one as i thought the car had one fitted but only the 1st edition

No you need to connect it to the USB port. Wireless APple car play is not supported. As far as I know only BMW do it at the moment.

I bought the Carlinkit module from Amazon to provide wireless CarPlay and it works perfectly in my Tarraco. It's not cheap (£135-ish - but it works exactly as if the phone was connected by cable.
