Just to confirm those members with factory fitted tow bars they do fit for Alko stabiliser tow hitch.
I was reading from a VW forum that there were concerns about the tow bars fitted were ok.
When I looked at the distance of clearance between tow bar and bumper I was a bit worried that my caravan hitch would be ok.
But tested today and there is a 10 mm clearance.

I was lucky as when the dealership fitted the electric towing kit the guy who actually did the install was a caravanner who has the same van as us, so knew what he has doing.He talked me thought the installation process and how to properly use and stow the towball.
