Hi all, new to the forum, Tarraco 2.0 TDI Excelence owner for a month now. I'm looking to update the maps but I have Navi Plus with 3D maps and SSD and no SD card. Does anyone know what is the procedure after downloading data from VW website?

Thanks!

Thanks bobbytoad, I removed the SD card in slot 1 and all is working fine. I then swapped the card and that works fine also. So it looks like I have a spare.

I'd check with dealer as I've seen a lot of issues with people trying to update the SSD with the maps as described on the SEAT/VW sites. You have to still create an SD card and put in slot but then run update from the Navi Plus system. It appears this can have issues. All round the UK status on map updating requires attention from SEAT.

Are you in the UK? We only get the SD card version and the update process works for that.
If you want to find out about the NAvi PLus SSD version I would recommend going to SEATCupra.net forums there , one user Tell seems to know about this stuff.

In the UK we don't get the SSD system / Navi Plus.

Just the basic nav SD card system (as stellamaris says above)

The map care and other free upgrades sanctioned by SEAT are not applicable for the basic nav system, so the only options in the UK are to buy a new SD card and have it coded to the car (dealer only, costs around £80) or do it yourself using the original post procedure for free :)

Hi all,

Thanks for the info, I’m in Macedonia. And it seems I have 3 years map care that should take care of the updates for 3 years at least, so all good for now.

Cheers.

Roughly every 6 months on the website it seems.

I just updated to the November 2019 maps (version 1430) and they work a treat (not noticed any difference between them and the March 2019 maps I had before)
